SKOWRONSKI M. FILIP

Born in Warsaw, soul town - Wroclaw. Graduated in plastic arts, specialized in painting. Individual orders, including copies of what the most famous artists painted, big scale artistic wall painting, illustrations and graphics it's what kept me busy until now. It paid my bills and helped me develop my talent. But my passion for painting and desire to create my own visions brought me to the life crossroad where I had to decide which way I want to follow. I had to choose between being a craftsmen for whom canvas and paints are just tools or being an artist for whom canvas and paints are his whole life. I finally chose the second option. It is not easy, because often happens that I am without founds, but I do what I love and I feel free. In the moment of insight I grab classic tools - bristle rough paintbrushes, oil paints, turpentine. Sometimes I use also acrylic paints, dry and oil pastels or charcoal. Also I use different basis to paint on - canvas, old wardrobe doors, wall, even women body… There are no boundaries I cannot cross. In my artworks I am looking for visible expression. I am interested in contrast, light blinks and shadows. The correlation between them and their influence on each other fascinates me. The way the light reflects in humans skin cannot be compared with nothing else. I am looking for color even in darkest black. I avoid linear drawing, I build my works with patches looking for appropriate shape for it.
